FC United of Manchester is owned by its fans - and the door is open for you to join us.

We were founded in 2005 by supporters who believed football had lost its way. Since then, we’ve built something different — a club that’s owned by its fans, run for its community, and proud to do things the right way.

For just £25 a year, you can become a co-owner and have a real say in how the club is run. You’ll vote on big decisions, elect the Board, help shape our identity – even choose the kit. One member, one vote. No hidden power, no private owners – just football, owned by the people who care most.

As a co-owner, you also get access to information like no other football fan. From board reports and minutes to key documents and honest blogs – you’re trusted with the same information we share at the top table, because your voice matters here.

Everyone is welcome at FC United. Whatever your background, income, identity or ability – if you believe football should be fairer, more inclusive and rooted in its community, there’s a place here for you.

We’re not here to make a profit. Everything goes back into the club and into the community. We offer some of the most affordable tickets in the country and run programmes across Greater Manchester that use football to bring people together and change lives.

Matchdays at Broadhurst Park are about more than just football. They’re about friendship, belonging and standing together for something better. We protect fan culture and supporter ownership because we believe football should bring people together, not shut them out.

People from all over the world are joining our club – not just because they support us, but because they believe in what we stand for. Even Eric Cantona and his family are co-owners. The more of us there are, the louder our voice in showing that football doesn’t have to be about money and greed.

How to Join as a Member

The easiest way to support the club and ensure your membership stays up to date each season is by signing up with a self-renewing GoCardless membership. You’ll be charged automatically each year on 1st July, starting from the 2025–26 season.

For Adults:

Joining FC United means you’re part of something bigger — a fan-owned club where your voice matters.

Young people play a vital role at FC United — and for just £3, those under 16 can become Junior Members and start their journey towards becoming full Co-owners at 16.

Junior Members can help plan and shape their own activities, with a range of events taking place throughout the season.

Each year, Junior Members are invited free of charge to our:

Hallowe’en Party
Easter Party
Teddy Bear’s Picnic (especially for our tiniest members)

They also enjoy a reduced rate for our annual tenpin bowling afternoon — where they’ll bowl alongside players and the management team. It’s always one of the highlights of the year.

Junior Members aged 3 and above can also take part as matchday mascots, leading the team out onto the pitch, or join our ball crew. Every Junior Member receives a birthday card signed by the players and management — a personal touch that means a lot.

We’ve recently launched Junior Member Meetings — a space where young fans can share their ideas for the club, ask questions of the players and board, and take part in shaping the future. Junior Members also get the chance to vote for the FC United Junior Player of the Season and design our official Christmas card.
